I was a regular poster during last year but I have been slack this year. We have a new baby, no time and I am just plain lazy. Forgive me. Nick...your site is still easily the big number ONE!!!!
I have been to most games this year and I have read all the messages on this board.
I gotta mention Jason Wild during yesterdays Carlton game. He was so bad that my mate mentioned if it was possible for Tony Shaw to resign for a second time for even considering selecting him.
Have you ever seen a team who has a loose man on the FORWARD line. There was our Jason Wild..on OUR forward line with no Carlton player picking him up and no Collingwood player ever bothering to pass to him. How crap can you get. When he was running down the wing 20 metres on his own with the ball and gets caught with the pill, all I could do was laugh. Dean Rice picked him up at one stage (probably needed a rest) and people were actually yelling at Dean Rice to do us all a favour and pollaxe Wild!!!!
I was in stitches. This was in the last quarter and we were throwing in the towel so I needed a good laugh.
Yes the reserves WERE good. When you have the likes of Orchard, Licuria, Williams, Olarenshaw, Walker, and Kinnear playing well in the twos, then we must really want those draft choices. That Senior team on paper was crap. Does anyone know, why Paul Williams did not come back straight into the senior team.
Also, we have to grab Rhyce Shaw. He is super fast, skilled, tough and smart. A must draft pick. Kicked two great goals.
Time for me to shut up.
Regards,
Dave
I am still Alive and I gotta mention Jason Wild

rhys is 17, i think. he's the son of ray shaw, who was very renowned for his pace. i think he plays on a wing or ruck rover, he has a great habit of running past the centre bounce and collecting a handpass from the rover and running to about 40 out and kicking a goal. he did that plenty of times on sunday. his pace his unbelievable, as is his agility. probably needs to put some muscle on, but he looks very determined and aggressive, and goal hungry.

Rhys Shaw is definitely the son of Ray Shaw .By the sounds of it all with what I heard Eddie and Balmy say at the Collingwood Social Club members information night tonight - has been given big raps and you get the feeling he will be picked up with the father son rule. They joked how for a change there is going to be a Shaw with plenty of pace in the side ! For those of you who saw the reserves - he's the number 29.

SEE TRAINING AND RESERVES for a RESRVES v CARLTON Match Report.
Dave,
Williams had to ask to play reserves, according to Neil Balme. The match committee didn't even consider him at all. He wasn't that impressive that you'd even promote him based on that game, apart from the fact that he is a "senior" player.
Yes, Rhyce (Correct spelling) is Ray's son and MUST be taken. He is 17 and currently plays for the Preston Knights in the TAC Cup. Everything FOXY wrote was shown in Sunday's match. (more in my Match report)
Glad to hear Eddie and others have already started thinking about drafting him.

aaron salisbury apparently kicked an unbelievable goal in the last seconds of some game for a local team. during time on of the last quarter of this game there was like 13 goals kicked or something, and salisbury's team (which was 13 goals down before time on) managed to win after aaron ran from back-pocket to the forward line and kicked a goal. they showed the game on channel 31; apparently it was unbelievable.
