Hi Guys,
Getting ready for the game tomorrow, and I just want to post a quick preview...
I think, for this game, the big key will be how our crumbers, our 'small men' will perform. Guys like Neon, Nick Davis, will need to roam around the packs and wait for the ball to hit the ground, where someone needs to snoop on to it and head for goal. Normally, the key to Collingwood is the 'big men', like Molloy, Rocca, and Tarrant. But against Essendon, more often than not, the ball won't be marked, because they flood their backline, which makes it a lot tougher for the forwards.
So our 'little men' will need to be ready to pounce on EVERY ball that hits the ground! A lot of pressure needs to be applied, much more than normal.
Go PIES 2001
