Take a step back.
Take a deep breath.

The only thing Scott was guilty of was trying far too hard to give Choppa the absolute best delivery possible.

Didn't have a great game - but that was probably the first time he has made a few crucial errors. He'll be better for it.

I think its just Pendles style, ala Shane Morwood etc. Good players seem to have more time, and the impression, especially if things go pearshaped, is that they are not as "committed" or a bit lackadaisicle(?). :?
Enjoy yourself. Its later than you think!

Hell, we can't have players that are too confident can we, trade him?

Even Buckley had the odd quiet game. Carey dropped marks, Ablett missed goals, Matthews got caught, even Hird gets tagged out of it now and again.
Get back on top.

Not a poor game at all. I think his second half work rate was excellent.

In the second quarter poor execution led to two turnovers and made him look bad. H eplayed a different kind of game I thought; nothing flashy just a real workhorse effort.

How good was his 3 bounches run down the wing to hit benny reid on the chest, best delivery i have ever seen.

And how bad was his handball to cox, missed him by 10m and cost us a goal..

He is going to make mistakes, no one is ever perfect.

N e one see Milburn kick into the man on the mark in the goal sqr on the weekend.

He is an out and out star, will be a 10year+ collingwood midfielder.

Yeah, he had a few possessions that were un-pendles like... but that carry and delivery to reid from half back was awesome

Definitely agree Neil. I think i counted (for the game) three skill errors from Pendles, and to be honest i was shocked...but thats only because he almost NEVER makes mistakes. The fact that i was shocked, i think, is a tremendous credit to him and his meteoric rise to date...its just not something anyone should be over a mistake by a 2nd yr player.

But despite the couple of skill errors (which compared to his 23 touches is nothing to worry about as a one-off), i think he did so many other things right.

His work through traffic was sensational as always, he laid some absolutely ferocious tackles. There was one just on our fifty, he was a fraction late, but you could see him scrambling to get his weight balanced, then he just lunges forward, arms spread, and wraps the hawk player up in a really quite vicious tackle...add to that the look of determination of his face....it was very very good to see from a player you could completely forgive for relying soley on his silky skills to earn his place in the team.

And while we are talking silky skills, that pass to Reid that favourites mentioned....how bloody good was that? It barely went above Reid's head height the entire time it was in the air....it was almost Buckley-esque.

The Panther was in his 22nd game. Give it a break, if you cant have a bad game doing your apprentiship when can you, maybe some of our turnover kings with 10 years behind them should be looked at a lot closer.

Too confident???... i hope not & doubt it!
He seems like a pretty level headed sort of kid - Mind you i don't know him from a bar of soap!!
It must be said that there were a couple of contests last night that he might need to explain to MM me thinks?!?!?!?

Let's not get down on the boy - Plenty of credits in the bag!!

He made a few very ordinary errors...which most players did. The game was played at a frantic pace and the hawks seemed to deal with it better than us.

Pendles will always be the sort of player who does not look like he is over-excerting himself. He does things cooly and calmly...much like Dal Santo. It means when he has a poor game he will be criticised more. He still played well, but just made a few poor decisions
