I'm on Magpiera's side. Good on ya. Put the $143 towards next year's membership. It'll cost an arm and a leg ... Don't say I didn't warn ya!!!

You know who'll win!! Nice call Magpiera, it would be a bit like watching reruns of a movie. As for the price, $143 wouldn't pay my wine bill. One can't imagine what sort of nosh up is going on there. What sort of rotgut rouge and tasteless new age cuisine are they slopping out for the supporters?? Best stay home and watch all the excitement(!) on the net. Does this mean the Age's web site will be plastered with picks of NB's squeeze again on saturday???

I didn't try listening to it, Magpiera, but I can just imagine the frustration. I have similar experiences trying to listen to Liverpool matches. I'm forever getting cut off. It can be a real pain.

I guess you'd have to say that web-casting technology has still got a long way to go before it will be any good. But don't despair. It will get there eventually.

Some of us old-timers can probably remember when a live interstate TV telecast was a complete ordeal or when listening to the cricket from England on the radio was like listening to Armstrong saying "One small step for man ... etc."

Don't write off the web-cast just yet. I'm sure there are many great minds working very, very hard on improving the technology for the future.

P.S.

And when Collingwood gets relocated to Mars in 2043, we Pie fans back on Earth will have no trouble getting sound and pictures, as clear as a bell, "live" on the internet.

Can you imagine Bruce McAvaney with a green face and antennae coming out of his head!!!
