I must be the only one finding things to be happy about.
Anyway, I have a habit of paying for things with notes and end up with a pocket full of change which I split into two tins when I hang the pants up at night. 1 tin for gold coins and 1 for silver.
I noticed that the one full of silver (about 1 litre container) was full, so I got some bags from the bank, tipped it on the coffee table in the lounge and started counting.
$170 in 5, 10, 20 and 50 cent pieces not to mention the $15 in gold that had got mixed up. That should cover the beer and smokes for the next few days.

A woman walks outside one night to find her husband sitting on the front verandah with a beer in his hand, quietly sobbing to himself. She says to him "what's wrong honey?"
He replies, "remember when we first got together, we were both young, you were underage but we were so much in love"
"yes" she says smiling
"And when I got you pregnant, your father the magistrate gave me two choices. I could marry you or spend the next 20 years in Jail?"
"Yes" she says again, smiling and putting her hand lovingly on his shoulder.
"well" he sobs loudly,
" I would have got out today"

I've stayed at home all day, but nevertheless, there was an interesting and kind of cool moment.
This girl messaged me on one of my internet sites yesterday afternoon, and today we were talking on MSN. I asked her where she works, turns out its at the restaraunt I ate at last night. Furthermore, it turns out she was actually the girl who took our order. Crazy... especially seeing as how that was the first time I'd eaten out in ages.
But, you come to expect this sort of thing in Canberra... everyone knows each other
