the cheersquad meeting wat a joke !!!!
i went to the cheersquad meeting on the 30th of january , it was an absolute disgrace to the club. anthony trainer wat a joke - everyone that knows me {chris robbo} knows that i luv the club more than anything , and to put someone like mr. trainer in charge of 'marketing ' should have a good hard look at themselfs!!!!!!!!!!!! we were talking bout prices for the cheersquad and he was arguing with us loyal fans that 'pay 'to go to the football . he was a little kid that was just out for an argument !!!!! and he got one . mr. trainer if u want to argue with us fans about prices, get your facts right before u have a go !!!!!! besides that we learnt nothing new about the cheersquad for the year 2003!!!!! get your act together mr. trainer yours truly loyal fan chris 'robbo'

Mr Trainer personally got me a Grand Final ticket last year, on the Friday afternoon. I personally have no problems with him.
I can understand how you feel though. I was a paid up CS member last year, didn't recieve anything for it. The president of the CS claimed never to have heard of me when I was trying to get through security to sit in the CS area at our first match at Colonial, even though I had talked to her many times before. While I am aware this president has left, I don't want any of this sh*t to put up with again. I'll get another CS after I hear how it's changed..
For those who make the CS spectacular (you know who you are), well done, it's admirable. But to those power-tripping ******* who are just out to increase the size of their ego, get stuffed. We should be one big happy family. Sadly, it's not the case.

Goodbye Dolly I must leave you, though it breaks my heart to go,
Something tells me I am needed at the front to fight the foe,
See - the soldier boys are marching and I can no longer stay,
Hark - I hear the bugle calling, goodbye Dolly Gray.
GOOD OLD COLLINGWOOD FOREVER, WE KNOW HOW TO PLAY THE GAME,
SIDE BY SIDE WE STICK TOGETHER, TO UPHOLD THE MAGPIES NAME.
SEE THE BARRACKERS SHOUTING, AS ALL BARRACKERS SHOULD,
OH, THE PREMIERSHIP'S A CAKEWALK FOR THE GOOD OLD COLLINGWOOD

Chris
Mate im sure anthony trainer is in charge of memberships and he is a nice guy.
nothing has changed with cheer squad pricing, you need season ticket..25 bucks membership fee and the cost of reserved seat in squad which the club assured will not rise by more than 10 bucks
meaning this year the reserved seating cost will be something like 60-65 bucks..not too bad hey mate.
And the agenda was not only the pricing to become a cheer squad member but also to make the cheer squad a more exciting and fun area and in place we some very exciting things happening which will set us apart from any other cheer squad in the league.
Sorry if i got annoyed but it does hurt that after such a positive meeting you came home with a negative.
You put a very negative spin on an evening that many of us enjoyed and welcomed.
Why dont you catch up with anthony and query the pricing further.
seeya soon mate

I'm a newbie but, FWIW I was impressed with the meeting and how it was run.
It was clear that there were at least "two' different camps in the room and that there were a lot of unresolved grievances from 2002.
I thought the tone was professional, the information clear, the direction spot on and the people involved extremely approachable.
We all know the fans can lift the club to success and the cheer squad in particular. To my (uneducated) ear it sounded like the club wanted to really encourage this and instill the extreme magpie passion of the squad in a whole new generation of fans. Suits me. I can't wait.
I really look forward to be being part of the action next year - along with the rest of the clan.
