Mal Michael wants $1m for 3 years.
That's why he's on the trade list.
By my calculations that's about $05.m for every B.O.G. he's had in his career!

The Club is right in adopting the philosophy of the great Daryl Kerrigan,
"Tell him he's dreamin'!"

Surely Mal is playing one of his pranks again. I wanna keep him ,not throw him away for jackshit .Can't Collingwood haggle, ya know what I mean, chuck in a free versace suit or ten, give a few extra tickets in the volvo raffle, HAGGLE HAGGLE HAGGLE!!!

he apparently won't haggle, he wont even consider it. this gives him the opportunity of looking good to everyone, an excuse to leave, he will be able to tell everyone that i wanted to stay but they just could not afford me. just a cop out. back in your canoe and paddle back to papua new guinea.

Maybe Mal heard about the sort of money that was being considered for Gehrig and decided that if a gug like Gehrig can command that sort of money he might as well try it on also.

I would much rather have a player of genuine class, like Mal Michael, any day. I've got no doubt that some club somewhere will find the bickies that Mal is asking for and will have reason to be very pleased with their purchase. The boy is definitely not "dreaming". And he won't be paddling his canoe back to PNG for many many years yet.

Unfortunately, I'm resigned to the fact that I've seen Mal Michael play his last game for the Magpies. So, if you're reading this, Mal, (which you're probably not) thanks for the last 4 years. You were one of the few bright lights on the horizon and this stupid club probably never deserved you in the first place.

Alf, I have thought about it and you are probably not too far of the makr there. I think Mal will be great for another club, too bad we can't keep him. But $333,333.00 a year is still rich. I would think $250,000.00 maybe.

Get off the grass. What consistency, loyalty or effort has he shown.

Thanks Boomer...that is why I said "maybe". Anyway, I really think if Mal's heart is not in it then he should forget about playing football altogether. I don't think other clubs would be too interested in picking up a player who is in it for the money. By the way if he went to play for Brissy he would be only closer to home. He comes from PNG!

I cant believe how scummy people r being towards this whole Mal thing! He is one of our best players and should be kept. Knowing Collingwood they have had a falling out with him and thats why he wants to leave i bet!

Spidey!
Your comments about Mal has nothing to do with the fact that he is a bit of a looker eh?
I would like to have Mal in the side but, if he is asking too much...
