After seeing the article in the paper about the Pies on the pistol range, I decided to go to one nearby and have a shot.
Did a supervised shoot with 3 different handguns. A revolver with 38 special, then 357 magnum ammo and 2 automatics. One of the auto's was so light it would climb straight up after each shot. The other two had a bit of weight about them.
Had a ball. Got mostly 10's on the target, a few 9's and only one 8. The instructor said I did excellent.
Thinking of joining up and getting my handgun licence now.

Just remember:
Guns don't kill people; people with guns kill people.
Don't worry Dale, I'll remember. I've been shooting since I was 12 and only ever made the mistake once to go out duck shooting with some people who'd been drinking and who I knew were a little erratic.
Getting shot with a shotgun from 100 metres tickles.

LOL, no need for that. I don't own any guns at the moment and if you do buy a pistol, it needs to stay at the gun club.
Here's the target from earlier today. For ref, the size of the 9 oval is about the size of a head. The 10 oval is a bit bigger than a normal size Ipod.

Finding out today that my Mum is pregnant with what will be her 9th kid.
Actually, I'm a little worried... it's 5 years since she last had a baby, and she's in her 40s... but all the same it's great news and I hope everything goes alright for her and the baby.
I'm kind of stunned myself... I'm going to be 20 next year, ffs! It's a big age difference.

i have enough issues with one brother, a half sister and a step bro who i don't even live near. i'd never cope with 8 siblings.

You'd think she would have worked out what was causing it by now.

Went on my first bike ride with a group today, the Pink Ribbon motorcycle ride to raise money for breast cancer. Last year's guest was our very own Anthony Rocca, this year it was Kirsty Marshall with Greg Evens as the host MC.
My good god, there were hundreds of bikes, all shapes and sizes. And being an OLD person as is well pointed out on here, I am in the Ulysses bike club for old bastards. hehehehe.
Didn't know Melbourne had so many scenic roads around here. Bloody brilliant. Had a great day.
