Just wanted to know how you guys feel about him as he is gettign a apsting on BF.

I like him and i think he is a good option as our third ruck and with a full pre season this year could be more than handy (lost last pre season due to knee surgery and the year before well he was at carlton)

I always ratdc him higher than richards and i know his shot on goal against geelong was terrible borderign on pathetic, but i always stand up for him as he is an honest tryer.

Just wanted to know what your thoughts on the bear are

I think we made the right choice.

That's not really a positive reflection on his ability, mind you.

Say what you want about him, but his attack on the ball cannot be questioned. There were moments late in the West Coast game where he threw himself at the contest like his life depended on it.

i like him. i would like to see him coached and developed into a dean cox type player. i don't think you can fault his endeavour or desire.

his physicality in that semi final was almost the difference. He has the ability to become a very damaging back up ruck - if he can apply himself.

I like him - hard body, bash & crash style of game suited to him.

Good Ruck option with Wood i recon with Fraser to spend more time in the forward line....

Not sure why people ever compared him with Richards anyway, he is NOT a ruckman. We may play him there but he is NOT a ruckman. 8 hitouts a game is not enough to be categorised as a ruckman. Bryan is terrible.

Neither is Fraser. He's an on-baller stuck in a body 10cms too big for him!

Bryan is no good. Decent attack on the footy when he decides to have a go, but gets caught napping far too often. Will never be a top line player, and highly doubt he will even get a game next year on his own merits...his only chance will come if wood or fraser are injured.

Played a decent game against West Coast i thought however.
There's more to life than footy.........just not much more.

most of you agree with me, although a couple are against him.

What you cant doubt is teh fact that he really looked disappointed with trhe lost agaisnt geelong and also showed that he doesnt lack comitment, a good example is when he attcked any cat in sight after he missed his goal, damn certain he almost broke johnsons arm in that tackle he laid.

Give the kid some time, he has to get over the effects of Tanking with the Scum.

He's not quite a kid at 25, but it's important to be patient with ruckmen, it takes years to learn the craft. Mind you, not having a dominant ruckman for some years now hasn't hurt our clearance rate too much, the on-ballers have learned to get by without getting a tap down their throats.

I like Bryan, I think his physicallity makes him a better option than Richards. A decent enough mark and long boot makes him a optional forward too.

Bryan, like Medhurst, will be better next year after having a full season with the Pies. Add the upcoming pre-season and this will give them both a better opportunity to gel with the players and the game plan.

Happy to keep him in 2008, but he'd need to improve to stay there beyond that.
