Stormguy_5: You just beat me. Have just been to the Official AFL site and the same details were listed as OFFICIALLY LODGED TRADES.

In the wash-up I'm actually pretty pleased, except that Sav is better than Molloy (speaking to my Brisbane source, he agrees).

Great to see the Coventry blood at Vic PARK!! (for the uninitiated, James Walker is Gordon Coventry's Grandson - actually could be great-grandson).

Steinfort is a solid pick-up, but how on earth did we convince the Orangegroos to take Ricky???? (Spidey, don't take that as a personal insult - just a measure of on-field performance in past 2 years).

We haven't lost any draft picks and we picked up number 37, so i guess we have 3, 19, 35, 37 and 51 or something like that.
In the end we got 4 players and a draft pick and only lost 2 players (Olarenshaw doesn't count as a footballer nowadays) so we didn't do that bad.

We traded (or on-traded) picks 8, 22, 39, 44

By my reckoning we now have the following draft picks:
3, 19, 35, 37

Can anyone correct this?

Broadie we didn't get Walker, we got Clement and Holland from Freo.In case people haven't heard the Blues lost Hamill to St.Kilda too....if we couldn't get him the next best thing would be Carlton not having him I think.

Wishful thinking we got a hack called Clement not Walker who reminds me of Wasley.

It seems fair to say that StKilda has shown what it takes to trade. Kept their Picks and lost a moderate player and received two best players on the market.

CQ is this his profile. Steinfort averaged 8 kicks 5 handballs and 3 marks for geelong per game. He kicked 2 goals for the season. Looks like some assistance for the guys down back.

I reckon Steinfort is a good pickup.. he did ok on Bucks this year as a tagger, so yeah, we did well to get him. Adds some experience to our list. I reckon Molloy's a pretty good player as well. Some grunt like Ant was needed in our forward line, which should help guys like Tarrant, N. Davis... Molloy has the ability to turn a game around so well done to the recruiters.. Pity we didn't get anything for Sav! Image And I can't believe the Roos took Olarenshaw.. lol! hehehe.

well i reckon get real

there is absolutely nothing to get excited about
infact u gotta say not much has changed
pity really considering memberships will be in the mail soon !

And all these other draft picks we will be getting
if one of them plays regular senior football
we will be lucky.

consider this quote from fraser gehrig in todays
herald sun 'stkilda were more proffessional'
i have heard that line far too often...........
