This is the Lucky Country. And we are the luckiest people on this planet.
"Be happy or get the **** out" - what a ridiculous comment.
Not my comment sherrife.
For the record. I'm more than happy for people to have a whinge, as I stated originally.

Just because we're "lucky" doesn't mean we can't be critical. In fact it means we HAVE to be critical, because most of the world doesn't enjoy 1/10th of what we take for granted for structural reasons. In fact, part of the reason we CAN be lucky is that we (as a western nation) exploit everyone else.

"Be happy or get the **** out" - what a ridiculous comment. Critics have just as much right to be here as those who by sheer "luck" feel the need to build walls around this part of the world and secure it from disagreement, poverty or change.
And yet people on this board, who themselves complain about many things, criticise others for doing the same thing.

I wonder how they reconcile that?

Is it a case of elitism? ie. I can but I'm not going to allow you.

Or maybe they're not aware of some internal contradictions in their beliefs.

Doesn't mean they're idiots, or it makes us all idiots; I'm sure you're guilty (not to mention myself, and everyone else) of failing to have a totally consistent and accurate world-view.

threads that start of with a humorous title and some really funny posts and then descend into the same old monotony of the usual suspects preaching about their beliefs.

"internal contradictions" is that the same as hypocrisy?

Who mentioned idiots?

Report them left right and centre, the more we can get awareness to this horrible and disgusting trait the better. IT is NOT acceptable in anyway shape or form!
