Sports broadcaster Clinto Grybas dead

FORMER ABC and Fox Sports broadcaster Clinton Grybas has died today in Melbourne, ABC radio has reported.

The sombre announcement was made on ABC radio during a rain-break in the Sydney Test match. No further details are known, though Police have said there are no suspicious circumstance.

Grybas, from Melbourne, had worked for several years with ABC radio in Perth and headed Fox Football's on-air team.

Oh my God...

This is simply awful.

Clinton was destined to be the best caller of his generation.

With the new TV rights deal set to expire in 2011, he was no doubt set to become the lead caller on FTA TV, surely, with Dennis and Bruce a generation older?

This is such a tragedy. He was such a lovely person- I spent a day with the 3AW Sports Today team in early 2006 - he was such a nice, genuine person - meant no harm to anyone.

RIP Clinton. I can't believe I'm saying this.

Channel 10 said that he didn't turn up for his shift on AW and someone went to his apartmnet and he was unconcious, didn't hear the rest

Another reason people live every day as if its the last. Life is WAY to short!! I am simply shocked by this terrible news. My deepest sympathy goes out to this family and friends.

Gee that sad.
Big loss to the footy world.In my veiw was the best caller going around.Very clever and had the knack of making any part of the game exciting.RIP
