One voice is never heard, many thousand, perhaps millions even cannot be ignored. Governments are afraid of trade sanctions and other such repercussions. This type of punishment is appalling and many people are not aware of it's practice. Living in the Lucky Country we can afford to ignore it and put our inaction down to the mission being insurmountable, but what does it hurt to act in such a simple manner? We as Australians treat our animals better then alot of countries treat their women. We'd be outraged to hear that a bunch of drunk kids stoned their neighbours dog to death. The government in this particular case does have the power to stop this from happening, they have in the past and why they didn't uphold this appeal cannot be justified. Like I said, what if it helped...it's never pointless when there's lives at stake.
