Being involved in a car accident yesterday afternoon.
My car is still driveable, but practically a write-off, and the other driver is missing a chunk out of the front-right part of their brand new car, from the accident that was technically caused by me. Guess who doesn't have insurance? Me.
Add to that the fact that I've now been unemployed for 2 months, and applied to go on the dole yesterday morning after spending my last pennies on (how ironic) petrol.
I'm not even sure 'pissed off' really covers it. Try horribly miserable, perhaps.

Thanks Kaylene Only slightly bruised, thankfully... it could have been much worse. I'm also very relieved that none of the occupants of the other car were hurt (although considering the respective sizes of the two cars, that's not suprising, haha)

If the other driver has comprehensive insurance, then just deal with the insurance company. They fix his car, you pay them back at a rate you can afford.David wrote:Being involved in a car accident yesterday afternoon.

Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down.

Yeah, that's pretty much what is happening. The trouble is, I literally don't have ANY money atm, or a job, so I'm not sure how I'm going to pay it back. I guess I'll take it as it comes.

I hate people that judge me because i am in the last 9 months of having my P plates and just purchased a brand new car...
Everyone keeps making me feel guilty by saying 'oh i've never had a brand new car' and it just makes me feel like saying... well work your arse off and maybe you too could afford it!
I mean just cause i'm on P plates doesn't mean i'm gonna smash is to smitherines...
I've already been driving for over 2 years on my p's, and had 2 years and over 500 hours practice on my learners...
sorry just really needed to vent...

I never understood it either, but we went on the philosophy that if you are going to crash it, its better to be in a new and much safer car, insurance is there to cover costsleelee wrote:I hate people that judge me because i am in the last 9 months of having my P plates and just purchased a brand new car...

I hate car insurance. I really do, and of course, it's due 10 days before I go on my holiday I've planned haha. At least it's gone down $350 from last year.
Cars annoy me anyway. I went through 3 in a matter of 5 months. I've had my latest for almost a year now so thats good
