Thanks maddy, East Keilor.

Yes Dale, the one the tenants trashed. My old man owns the property which I'll be buying. Mind you they were only paying $150 a week for a 3 bedroom house and this is the thanks he gets.

Ohhhhhhhhh i thought you bought a new one. OK, getting it back off bad tennants is good. Hope you don't have to do much to it.

Hope your getting a suitable discount if you're buying it off the old man.

Flicking the tenants and paying rent to Dad didn't appeal?

Yeh actually they weren't too bad over the years. A little surprised as to why they left it like that. They just dropped off an envelope with the keys and a short note saying "sorry, had to leave in a hurry, thanks for everything, keep the bond." No phone call, nothing.

Yeh, saving about 50 K off the est. value which is handy. It does need a bit of sprucing up though, so I'll use some of that saving towards that.

Renting wasn't really an option. He was going to offload it anyway as he's retiring (somethig about putting it into super, tax free I think?). I just happened to be in the right place at the right time :)

Why not hold a Nicks working bee.

Put on a couple of slabs and a BBQ and a whole bunch of us can come over.

And make more mess. :P
