Geelong must be doing something right!

The VFL advise of the following amendments to the Senior and Reserve Grade fixtures, as documented below:-

Round 7: The Geelong vs. Coburg Tigers match has been rescheduled from Skilled Stadium to the Melbourne Cricket Ground as an AFL Curtain Raiser. The match will be played on Saturday 17th May and will commence at 10.40am.

Enough of "MC Hammer". It's called Spuesland!

2pm saturday afternoon footy, just the way it should be. Not all bad news in the respect.

Hopefully we can build a half-decent stand at a future Olympic Oval instead of only one cameraman on a cherry-picker getting a decent view as is the case at the Paddock because hey, we have no home ground anymore, we let a perfectly good one disappear (unlike so-called poor clubs Footscray, North, Spues ... the useless Bitchmond while even the 'aints are getting one with an oval) and have to rebuild a new one if the Little Athletics can be moved without too much more moaning.

As for the Pussies, the best thing they ever did was get a premier on their side. Amazing how many obstacles to ground redevelopment (don't say that phrase plus the one that begins with Vic and end with ark around our administration, they'll have a heart attack) disappear into thin air when you have political power on your side. Speaking of which, come on Brumby, push through moving the Little Athletics please.

Do we have any curtain raisers left or have they taken them all away?

But at least the games have been rescheduled to not clash with the corresponding AFL fixture.

Refer to the 2008 ficture thread for more info
