I've been to a Hogs breath cafe a couple of times. I wouldn't call the steak good. Very much a mcdonalds style production line food IMO, each meal the same, stamped out according to specific routine rather than by a chef with any skill.
I like my steak rare and I'm not bothered about sending it back if it's overcooked. I'll give some ground, between Bleu and medium rare, but anything over medium rare and it goes back.

That's what I mean my mcdonalds style production line. Standardise the ingredients and processes and you can churn out the same food over and over with zero skill involved except being able to follow instructions.
And yes Donny, I'm sure the food and service were far secondary consideration to the company. David probably could have been served deep fried dog doo doo and he would have gone back for seconds.
I've been to a few different franchise restaurents and they're basically OK for kids as a half step between McDonalds and KFC and a real restaurent but still lower than a half decent pub or club bistro.
OH, BTW, what made me happy today was putting some new plants in the front garden (if we don't get the forecast rain then I'll soon be back in the "what pisses me off thread" and doing my first assignment for uni.

Fair enough guys... perhaps my standards aren't so high when it comes to food, but I feel pretty satisfied every time I go there... food is probably on the same level as, say, a local footy club, but that's good enough for me, lol. Maybe it's just the specific one I go to, but I've never had a problem with the service either.
But fair call - I probably would eat fried worms with Tildy
