What is the deal with HAL

Has someone really stayed in character this long to try and get a few laughs?

Is it an actual bot that has been programmed to be really really unfunny?

Does anyone know the actual person and are they normal in real life?

I was thinking that as soon as I joined this forum...I was reading over some of the posts and I've noticed he always says the same thing and it has nothing to do with the topic discussed, but other times he actually says something that is a bit to do with the topic.
I'm really suspicious about the whole thing quite personally...
Maybe he goes for Carlton and he's a spy :shock:

I find it easiest to use the ignore button in the case of Hal.
