Bradley Green was best player in division 2 of the under 18 championships. If he nominates for the draft you'd hope he'd be serious about an AFL career.

I've heard that Jonathan Brown from Geelong is an outstanding prospect, and most likely to be taken in the top 5. He is a centre half forward and was the only Vic Country player to be picked in the all aussie team.

And if we're after a skilful goalkicking forward, Leon Davis from Perth would be a good pick. He is a super quick aboriginal player and may still be around for our third round pick.

I agree with Spudda that Anthony Rocca should be left down back for a while. Mal Michael or Chris Tarrant can play c-h forward next year

foxy wanting to get rid of wasley - now that was funny

Have to agree wholeheartedly with Plow & Spudda on A.Rocca: his best position is CHB. Was speaking to someone who was on the coaching staff at Northern KNights when pebbles played there, adn he alwyas thought he'd make a greta backmen (had some very positive things to say about Presti, too). The same bloke is now at the Kangaroos, so he knows his footy.

Zed - you're on the ball with the type of player we should be drafting. Basically we should be doing what Hawthorn did 2-3 years ago: draft a swag of GENUINE talls (192cm+) and hope that out of 7 you get 2 or 3 really good prospects. OUr problem with talls has been drafting 1 or 2 and placing all the hopes and pressure on those indivduals, while drafting a fleet of midfielders. We have far too many of this latter type on our current list, and will need to trade a few of the promising ones in order to get some talls.

Smart & Graham are great places to start.

PS: Has anyone checked the hospital where Foxy is after attempting to vent his spleen at all the Wasley-lovers?

Talls on list
Monkhorst, Smith, Tuckey, Gardiner, Veanables, Prestgicomo, Schuable, Richardson, A Rocca, S Rocca, Kinnear, Tarrent.

That's 12 guys competing for about 5 spots. FB, CHB, CHF, FF, Ruck, Bench Tall/2nd Ruck. Some days you play more, some days less. Now with playing squad of 22 and list of 42. You basically have less than 1 resreve or backup player for each in the sqaud, we nearing 1.5 for the talls. So how many more talls in the squad? I think anymore than another one would unbalance the squad. (And I didn't count Walker who is definitely a tall, so count him as a tall and definitely replace him with a tall ). I'd delist one tall and draft two more but I think the balance is basically right. It's not quite that simple with guys like Chris Tarrent who could play almost anywhere. We could pherhaps do with more mid-sized or tallshorts like wasly, michael to give us more flexiablilty. We denitely need to address the ruck, We need to draft one, and another if smith goes.
