I know what you mean Kaylene. I work about 25-30 minutes drive away from where I live... but, relying on the bus system, I don't get home until about 7:40 after a 6:00 finish. It's ridiculous.
As for what pisses me off... being really sick over the last couple of days. It's really unpleasant.

They're surprisingly direct, at least where I need to go, but the main problem is the time spent waiting for connecting buses... good point above, during my last trip down I became nostalgic for my Grandma's old location in Clayton

i used to travel three times a week to frankston from balwyn north. would involve a tram down doncaster road to flinders street >> then a train to the last stop in frankston >> then a bus to monash uni.
would take 2 hours, and 4 hours all up in my day
i usually slept through the whole thing haha. i remember on the way back on my last day, after handing in my thesis, i was so tired i woke up in brighton i think it was, on the pahran line.. had no idea how i got there dont even recall getting up and switching trains.

I catch the train into work from Endeavour Hills to Southern Cross station. Takes me an hour and I'm always scared I'll fall asleep and wake up in Woop Woop. Once I got on a train at Southern Cross and ended up in North Melbourne (only a station or two away) but I shit myself LOL! Oh and I cracked it because, as usual, the platform 11 & 12 screens weren't displaying the correct information which was why I was on the wrong train to begin with, speaking of things that piss me off. Grr

They mumble something about OH&S, well excuse me, I have 2 qualified and one apprentice chef (one of my boys) at the friggen wedding. If safetys an issue the who the hell is gunna help me cut up my main meal and everybody elses for that matter, there may be slipage and eyes out everywhere.
..needless to say old Skas' here will NOT be paying any such rot. Had a quiet little talk in Mr.Humphreys impersonators shell likes and he finally came to my way of thinking!

If it's $90 to cut the cake, I hate to think how much the rest of the wedding is costing
btw, I forgot to say... congratulations dude! I think I'd read somewhere that you were getting married but I wasn't sure anyway hope it goes well.

at spencer street there's often this little indian woman who has a hand held mic screaming into it. not sure why they bother.Ash10 wrote:I often get on a Cranbourne train instead of Frankston because the announcements are non existant,if there is one,you cant understand what they're saying, the screens are dodgy,or the train doesnt have the destination displayed.Drives me nuts!

Its quite common now JJJ ,in many restaraunts also. Its like corkage. You now have to pay for THEM to cut and place it on a plate.JacJacJacqui wrote:I'd just cut it myself, what's the big deal? Is that what you're going to do or did you make a deal with the cake people so they'll do it for free?
(no they are still gunna do it, and NO I am not paying it. They are VERY aware of that...and thats cool (obviously they know my reputation )
Thanks for your wishes David and others, yep, going up for round 2 tomorrow(someone text me the footy scores!!!!)
Enjoy yourself. Its later than you think!
