From the first season of VFL football in 1897 St Kilda played Collingwood at Victoria Park 58 times up to 1962 and beat Collingwood only once. The second time was a 25 point win in round 1 of 1962.

What year did St Kilda beat Collingwood at Victoria Park from 1897 - 1961?

In a premiership year too. So I guess it didn't really matter who we lost to in the H&A. Kind of like the way we will look back on the two Carlton defeats if we win this year.

Just three points in it and as low scoring as the 1962 defeat.
Some famous names from that game include Fullback Harry Saunders, Con McCarthy, Bill Twomey Senior, Harry Curtis at Full Forward, Charles Laxton on the ball and Les Hughes in the Ruck.
