Crowe looks a likely type....another lanky defender....anyone know how his form has been for the whole year?

Cox still struggles with decision making and Johnson is playing better but certainly cost the team a goal in the first quarter with a terrible turnover that went straight back down the ground.

Like Barham...seems to be able to find space and spot up a target....very fast too!

Stanley starting to assert himself.

Dawes is certainly knocking..

Pies up by 19 points...
May the force be with us

(Chill out Sherrife it is just a bit of banter...have you not been in pies chat on game day..no difference...sorry Loki no harm intended m8)
I reckon if he plays a good one, they will give him another go. Though who do we take out to put him in, we have goals sneaks and i am not sure who you'd bring out of the middle to put him in. The captain wont be dropped, neitehr will O'Bree, you wouldn't drop the youngies, but you could rest them I guess...

Perhaps a bit of "brodie sh1t" is what we need in the middle.

Stanley seems like a natural replacement for Obree... Either him or Brodie (except I think that might be a step backwards).

Goal to Macaffer after a good chase.

62 to 45

Unfortunately might run out of time before the end of the season though...pity I do like Holland, but the game just seemed to pass him by...

FWIW I actually think it would be good to see Dawes in the AFL side, I am just skeptical about how much people have talked him up as a solution to all of our current problems...plus I also think that the coaching staff did the right thing by Brown by giving him a full season in the VFL seniors before putting him up, I feel he is better because of that...

seriously, no one has ever said they thought he was going to be another Buddy. They want him to have a shot in the 1's purely to give another tall option and from a couple of good games, I think he deserves at least 1 or 2 goes to get the feel of it all. I don't think there are going to be too many "buddy's" around.
LOL. I was being a bit tongue in cheek. But he does, like I said, look like a good solid contributer. As long as people don't expect him to be the next Buddy or Duck and let him just have a go without attacking him as a spud if he doesn't dominate his first senior game, I'll be happy. I can see him working well with Travis if he gets settled in the 1's.

BTW, Geelong goal, 62 to 51 27 minutes gone.

ANOTHER contested grab to Dawes. Gave it off though. It's Dawes-mania here at Nicks today! The supporters have spoken Mick!

I'm glad we finally decided it was being shown on ABC-TV. I was out until just after 2pm, but I had set my DVD recorder to start at 1pm (missed the first 4 minutes).

Dawes kicks another: Pies by 17 points.
