Another clue...
A famous grandson of 1919 premiership player (His grandfather retired early and went on to win the Stawell Gift in 1924). Nephew of the three 1953 premiership winning brothers.
Injury ravaged career from 1979 to 1985. 63 games and 14 goals.
Solid back flanker, who had so much more to offer the game.

The Collingwood Cavemen FC and yes the ground IS Victoria Park.Magpie Camo wrote:WOW d4p, great pic who is he playing for in that one.
I interviewed his Uncle Mick under the Bob Rose Stand for Channel 31 just a few weeks earlier too. It was an amazing experience to talk 'good old Collingwood' with a genuine Collingwood legend. One of very few Magpies alive to boast two premierships to his name as well.
What a great Collingwood family.

Jock was crook as a dog that day.
Interesting how Syd Coventry came out and said after the 1929 triumph over Richmond "We have won it, now we shall rest a while"
Your question Pebbles.

But, but.... didn't we have a "winning culture" back then?die4pies wrote:Interesting how Syd Coventry came out and said after the 1929 triumph over Richmond "We have won it, now we shall rest a while"

OK my question:
At which interstate ground has Collingwood never won a game?

Round 13 1987 was one of the darkest days of the Collingwood F.C.
Against North Melbourne at a waterlogged VFL Park infront of just 17,000 people the Senior side kicked just 2 6 18 and lost by 54 points (BT kicked both goals) The Reserves didn't do much better and kicked 2 3 15.
Q: What did the U/19's kick that day?
