Everyone at work has been calling in sick lately.. That is fine.. That's not the part that pisses me off!!

My boss refuses to call agency carers in, and leaves us to just deal with it.. So, we have been run off our feet!

I had to go in early today, because we were so understaffed, and then at 12 noon, I'm like "Umm, am I getting a morning tea break?"

My boss had forgotten, and was going to leave me to wait till 2:30 for my lunch break..

Then, we were informed that there would be no afternoon tea breaks..

I kept wondering why we just didn't call agency people in.. Turns out, my boss gets a huge bonus every quarter, for keeping the costs down.. So, she pretends we are doing fine, and sits in her office waiting for her cheque, whilst we work our asses off with a hundred kids running around! :evil:

Yeah, similar thing happens at my work. You would think our salaries came right out of her back pocket. We don't know for sure about the bonus but if her actions are any indication I'm sure she gets one.

Yes but so having child/staff ratio below that within the CC regulations, not letting staff take breaks is the lessor of two evils. DHS would crucify the centre if a child got hurt and the centre was below the legal ratios.
How would Siri know when to answer "Hey Siri" unless it is listening in to everything you say?

Alyssa you can also shitcan your boss to the validator during accreditation, a poor quality rating will do wonders for any future bonuses, ha ha ha.

Perhaps a whinge to the union or worksafe could address the no breaks issue if it happens regularly.
How would Siri know when to answer "Hey Siri" unless it is listening in to everything you say?

We passed accreditation in March with High Quality. We had full staff back then!

I'm not so mad with her anymore.. Her grandfather died on Tuesday and they were told today that her grandmother had a stroke today, and wont have much longer left in her either, so she has gone up to Queensland for the funeral.. I felt terrible for being so angry with her! I'm too compassionate!!

People come on here daily, to rant about what's pissing them off.. I came and did the same thing.. I am allowed to do so. That was the whole point of this topic..

The ABC head office has been contacted, and the problem has been eradicated..
