BEN DAVIES-he's fast,a bit of skill and a heart as big as the m.c.g....making his debut against fremantle in 2005 in round 7...i could tell straight away he would be a 10 year player to the club,was promoted of the rookie list in 2005 after a few good games and an injury to nathan buckley...only managed 5 games this year and was a standout in the round 9 and 16 wins over the bulldogs and eagles...turns 21 before the 2007 season and hopes to get more game time and maybe cement a spot in the ageing midfeild,ive said it once...and ill say it again...this fella WILL win a brownlow.

dont know about a brownlow medal, however as i have said on many occasions i desperatly hope we include Davies in our midfield make up for the 2007 season and beyond. We have eased him in and i really do believe he has what it takes to be the nuggety midfielder that will compliment the likes on scott pendlebury, who oozes class.

Love the way he runs and takes on the opposition, he knows the shortest way home (ala Daicos) which helps with pace.

He should cement a spot in the team this year, even if its a second string midfielder coming off the interchange.

Definate future star.

benny had a tough year this year not playing a single game and looms as possible trade bait....but im sure next year,if on the collingwood list...he will make a name for himself and play the odd 10+ games...goodluck benny

Will be interesting to see if the split with Willi has any impact on young Ben. He is an out and out Willi boy from a dyed in the wool Willi family.
