Spring Racing Carnival.

Post by Who'sOnO'Bree »

I'm not one to dress up and go off to the races, but I know many a girl (and boy) out there is.
So - have you got your outfits and which days are you going to? :)
After Monday and Tuesday, even the calendar says WTF.

Yeah, I'm going to Derby Day.. I am so not fussed about preparing for it.. All my friends that I'm going with have been discussing their outfits for ages.. I'm like "Meh!" Haha! I'm just wearing the green dress that I wore to my birthday, if anyone saw the photos of that. And I have a fascinator already.. The weather better be good, or I'll be pissed off..

Me and Trace met these boys on Friday night who were down in Melbourne from Queensland, for the spring racing carnival.. Their dad owns horses that are running, so they have some marquee which is fully catered with free food and drinks..

One of them asked me to be his date to the Cox Plate, a hundred thousand times.. It was like 3am at this time, and he wanted me to be ready to go at like 8am! Umm.. stuff that haha! So, we've mentioned a million times that we will be at Derby Day, hoping to God that they get the point and invite us in there haha!! :D

Love always, Alyssa xoxo

I've been to Caulfield Cup already. It was a great day, but soooo hot!

Was considering going to Derby Day, but I've spent too much money the past couple of weeks, so can't afford it.

My fave was the Melb Cup Day a few years ago when cyclone Tracey was reborn. There were tables, chairs, hats - you name it, flying all over the place. I wouldn't have wanted to be there, but it was piss funny to watch on TV.

Did anyone end up going to Derby Day today? The weather hasn't been brilliant but it's not as bad as I thought it would be. Hope everyone that went had a great time.

There were some footballers/footy media people and their partners living it up in the Birdcage today:
