I just need a bit of feedback in regards to the slogan threads...
Would you still be interested in entering this year?
If yes why?
if no why?
and anything that we can maybe do better.... I'd like to hear about it!
Thanks... and by the way each and every one of you who have entered in previous years have been absolutely WONDERFUL! We have some exceptionally talented people here on Nicks.
^ i think you've misinterpreted what jjj was saying. i read as a resounding yes, why wouldn't we keep going?
absolutely keep it going. it's a lot of fun.
here's my 2 cents ...
- can we find out in advance which rounds will be dedicated to our sponsors?
- how do we get more kids involved? i've said before that i love the way the hawks acknowledge the contributor on their run-thru.
- can we put up suggestions for the design as well - within reason?
[the run-thru guys do a fab job designing it but it'd be good to get some freshness about it]
- can you create 22 threads from the start of the season so that ideas can be added at any time for any particular round?
- lastly, can the winning slogan be announced with the winner cos it's sometimes difficult to determine which slogan one if there are multiple entries from the weekly winner.
Good call Jock.... I can possibly do all of the above with the clubs approval (I keep saying Im only the middle person);).. except for maybe the last one... my reason being:
I have to let the winner know as soon as possible (because of the prize) If the slogan went up with it... I'm sure that opposition would put something very unfavourable to us on their banner... that is my reason why.
And why I asked for feedback is because I dont know if u know just how much of my time goes into this... and if ppl arent interested in entering and I dont me just 2 or 3 ppl... I needs lots... It just means that Im wasting my time, and unfortunately my time is precious to me. I hope u can understand... unless of course you could volunteer to take over from me This is the answer to "WHY WOULDNT WE KEEP GOING! "

Yeah I did mean keep it going (thanks Jock), it's fun so why not? I don't really play but I like to read them. Sorry, should've read my comment back to myself!

Sure Sorry, I say yes because I like to read them. That's all. I didn't really have a good reason. I like jmcp's suggestion of starting 22 threads instead of one each week though.

if i get back to melbourne i am more than happy to offer my assistance. i understand re the winning slogan.
Hey Frankie, I'm not very good at it but give it a crack on the odd occasion. But I really do enjoy reading what others have a crack at, sometimes just for a laugh other times just to read the talent...
Its a great comp and I am sure if it was my slogan being held up in front of 70 odd thousand people I would get a real buzz...
The only thing like someone else has mentioned perhaps you could find out in advance for your own sake and others the weeks you don't need to bother due to both sides been taken up by sponsors or player millestones...that way you can have a week off or 2 during the year and people don't loose interest when they find out "well that was a waste of time doing that"....

Thanks Pete.... I wish I could get that info out of the club too... but its like trying to bleed a stone, which makes it hard for everyone including me. Well we'll just see how we go tonite at the meeting..
