How come I did not get the earlier posts from this topic in my nightly email? Darn.

I did not do too badly. My first three picks, Diatribe, Freemason and Far Cry did no good. But my fourth and fifth horses ran first and second, so I won more than my money back with a $2 quinella.

What was really amazing, was the streak I had in the lead up races. King Of Prussia (race 2), Grand Seattle (race 3), Geronimo Run (race 5), Oh Blue Angel (race 7), all had my $2 each way on them. I guess this was to make up for all the nags I backed over the last three weeks.

Onto the Bendigo Cup, Thursday week. Then racing can be put to bed for the summer.

And of course I had $5 on Maguire so I could sing good old collingwood forever if got up for a place. I was really gonna belt it out, from the balcony.

The horse did not do all that badly, and I am sure it will be back next year.
