Macaffer may very well turn out to be the surprise packet of the year for the pies and be the missing link up foward.

Alot of attention has been given to Dawes, Rusling and Anthony but it wouldn't surprise me if he proves to be the best forward out of the lot by seasons end if given the opportunity.

A big call I know but I can't recall the last Collingwood player good enough to bag 8 at reserve level like Caff did.

I've said it before and I'II say it again.

09 is the year of the Caff.

LOL the word bigheaded is indeed a compliment..I visited the facebook topic last night where everyone signed along to register thier hatred for the Pies

I've never read such vulgarity in all my life...In lieu of all that crap im very comfy with the lable bighead

I think DTM was and still is the only person who believes Dawes is the second coming of Christ.

Seriously though, I'm not going to write of Dawes on the back of one poor preseason performance.

The guy has seriously worked his arse off over the summer, which shows to me he's serious about his football and what he hopes to achieve in his career.

This year may very well turn out to be another year of development for Dawes in the VFL and he might not play as many senior level games as some would have imagined.

We have to remember he's really a year behind the others drafted in 06 in his development due to his knee reconstruction.

Good luck in 09 Chris, may you surprise us all!

Someone down at Collingwood needs to tell me why Macaffer was not played after quarter time.

He was great in the first quarter, setting up the first goal to McCarthy and kicking one of his own and looked our most dangerous forward option.

Please Explain.

Very good game from Brent.

Hard at the contest and did his job well.

Hopefully the first of many...

Concussion to promising forward Brent Macaffer was the only sour point for the Pies, the youngster leaving the field in the second term and not returning.

Okay that must explain it then because he was playing to well to be substituted especially after only one quarter.

According to the body of the article below he went off with a leg injury, while the game synopsis at the bottom of the page lists him as having concussion. Presumably the latter is the updated information.
