Report From Pies vs Coburg game this Morning

Post by Dave The Man »

Headed down to Gosh's Paddok and Watch the Boys smash the Coburg Tigers.

The Kids got a Run in Blight,Steele,Dawes,Thoolen,Keeffe,Rounds and Blair.

Quick Note of each player:

Blight: Very Impressed with him today has huge leap. Took some very good marks, Good Kick and smart footy brain. Might even get a game vs the Bombers.

Steele: Was okay without doing anything that jumped out but layed tones of tackles and got alot of the inside ball.

Dawes: Very good game from the Big Man looked very Determined and when we started 1 on 1 took somer very strong marks but after that had 2 plus players on him afterwards still tried very hard. Loved when he missed the mark but he just kept coming and leveled the bloke who took the mark.

Thoolen: Not Too bad Kicked 2 Goals and looks a very accurate kick from a set shot.

Rounds: Solid Game best moment was a Run Down a Goal from it

Blair: Was Good in and under and getting the ball.

VFL Players I noticed where:

* Sheenen
* Hayes
* Mugvin
* R Colbert
* Hogan

Very solid hit out.

On Chris Dawes, he was actually very dissappointed with his performance. He knows he should have kicked double figures today, but still he is quite clearly better than VFL level and will just need time and experience to make his mark in the AFL.

So many good players on the park today, no point talking about individuals when a team plays so well.

That said, I am very excited about Jaxson Barham. Seems to skip across the paddock effortlessly.

Could tell in the Last by Listening to Dawes he was Dissapointed in himself but gotta love his Effort and Does look a Class above VFL Espically when teams put more than 1 men on him because 1 on 1 he beats most VFL Defenders

Oh no tell me it isn't true!

Looking at the pic above Dawes has reverted back to the long sleeve jumper.

Bugger, just when I thought I'd seen the last of it.
He's mad. He's bad. He's MaynHARD!
