Damien Peverill appointed captain of the VFL Team

Recruits James Podsiadly (Geelong) and Damien Peverill (Collingwood) will lead their respective clubs in 09.

Podisadly was previously Werribee's skipper and replaces VFL champion James Byrne.

Peverill is Collingwood's stand alone captain after last year's rotational policy.

Good decision about Peverill. All the other candidates would be up for possible AFL selection. He provides experience and will be hard at it.

There should be no excuses for a much better year in 2009.
