Geez - they have changed the format. I must admit, I did used to get sick of how long the last format could drag on for. Maybe they've adopted "a quick game is a good game".
After Monday and Tuesday, even the calendar says WTF.

Yeah, it'll be much quicker. Forgot to add there's a time limit now, too. First 5 questions you get 10 seconds to answer, next 5 you get 15 seconds and the last 5 you get 20 seconds, so will be much faster. That will be a good thing. Rest of it not so sure..

Nice one, that's what I would do. Show that you've got teeth and a brain.

Congrats luvdids! Hope you make it :)

 You know, I only got that last night!! I thought you meant show all your teeth because I have nice teeth - but you meant show them all to show that I'm a Collingwood fan and have them all!! Ahhhhh, derrr, told you I was dumb!! That's funny and yeah, imagine if I'd got on and asked where my membership was. hahahahaha! Classic!

Tonight (Mon), a Chris Isaak special is being shown on FOXTEL's Ovation channel (Ch 125).
But I don't have Ovation channel

Although, I recorded practically his whole concert on my phone so I'll watch that instead.

Bugger. Might have to drop into Mum's who does have Ovation.
Get your own, sponger.
Oh my god, you really are losing it.

What makes me happy is Magpie Genc continually digging his own grave publicly so we can all have a giggle.

Went to a management team planning day today. May not sound like cause for overwhelming joy, but it was the first time in memory HR had participated in the organisations strategic planning day and even then I had to ask for an invite.

Found it very useful, participated well, got some feedback from the GM afterward that was really good and came out of it with a lot of work going forward. Oh well, that's what I've got staff for.

All in all, excellent day.

planning days, more often than not a lot of navel gazing bollocks. let's all look at our workplan, let's all feel good about our workplan, let's now all ignore our workplan.

we've got a two day event coming up.

i am most surprised hr has not had an involvement until now. i would have thought they'd be fairly integral to the planning.

Actually it was a good day, very practical but macro enough that it didn't get bogged down in detail.

I think part of the reason HR hadn't been before is that the place chews up HR managers like a puppy with a newspaper. They'd had 5 in 4 years before me. I've been there 15 months now so I told the GM I reckon I'm nearly due for LSL.

i always have a laugh when i hear managers discuss the detail. i think to myself they should leave that to the advisors or the people that know what they're doing.

on the work theme, i'm actually enjoying being back doing what i actually enjoy and what i'm good at. if only i could transplant my job/workplace in melbourne.

yeah, been there, done that too. Where this one will be different is this GM kept it practical and WILL hold those in attendance accountable to develop action plans. We had a 30 minute chat afterwards over a beer. He did most of the talking; I and the others have some serious work to do.

I went down to Sanity today to pre-order Keith Urban's new album 'Defying Gravity' which comes out tomorrow, so my mum could pick it up for me..

The cute boy behind the counter said 'I'll let you have it now if you'd like".. I nearly died!! I was so happy! Then, he couldn't find it, so I went away for awhile and came back and there it was! I had the biggest grin on my face!!

Blinded by happiness, it wasn't until half an hour later that I realised I had the Keith Urban album in one hand, my handbag in another, and nothing else.. Suddenly, it dawned on me!! I had left $45 worth of groceries somewhere!

So, I ran back to Sanity and the boy had kept it for me behind the counter.. I was so embarrassed! He was so cute too!!!

Love always, Alyssa xoxo

What made me happy is listening to the CD I got from the Chris Isaak concert I went to a few weeks ago. I was in the VIP area so it was also signed by him and handed to me personally. Got his DVD/CD set (that I already had) signed while I was there too. :)

Told them not to bother sending me the free download, had the real thing signed by him so why bother with a free download?!

Your retreat is the retreat for them. If only you worked at a firm that earned enough money to afford perks for everyone.

Hasn't Chris Isaak got the most wonderful eyes!! I went to a concert last year, and he came up to where I was sitting (on the balcony) and lent across on front of me to sing, I was in heaven!
