3. Pendles. An all day, 4-quarter effort, winning hard balls and making it look easy. We won it in the stoppages, and Pendles led the way.
2. Medhurst. Flashed in and out of the game, but you expect that from a forward pocket .... and when Medhurst was in, he was well in. I don't like to give votes to a player who hasn't contributed for the four quarters (injury notwithstanding) but it was Medhurst's brilliance that kept us in the game, got us back into the game, and took us to the front. Great game, Paul Medhurst.
1. Fraser. Deserves 2 votes, but I couldn't overlook Medhurst. Rucked all day, and roved to his own tap-work as few ruckmen can. Got a lot of it, did good things with it. Great game, Josh.
Apologies: Cox, Toovey, Presti. Cox's run and daring out of the backline makes us a different side. Was vital early, still servicable later on. Tooves was very nearly in the votes this week: played a great stopping game, showed consistent desperation in tight, and has serious pace to break the lines. Disposal has improved from last year: Tooves is in our best 22 now. And Presti: we all know what Presti did.

Watched it again last night
1 Pendles - easily the best
2 Medders - probably won us the game
3 Cheesy - very difficult for third Fraser, Cox, Barham,Toovs all worthy of a mention
The umpires missed a lot and Voss certainly had something to whinge about

3. Presti - after he was put on Brown he completely nullified his influence. One of the best games I"ve seen Presti play
2. Medhurst - Great game, loved the Gavin-Brown like comeback. But if he really was so out of it he didn't know how many goals he'd kicked, why did they let him back on?! He was clearly not right. Hope he's okay now.
1. Pendlebury - a career high 35 possessions - not bad for someone just starting his fourth year in the AFL. Has Joel Selwood done that yet?
