3 - Leon -Simply brilliant. If he wasn't BOG then you were watching another game.
2 - Tarko -Keeps getting better. Was very good when things were going our way, and when they weren't.
1 - Wood -Smacked the best ruckman in the comp, without much input from Fraser.
The 2 & 1 could have also gone to any of Pendles, Swanny, Maxy, HarryO.
Just bloody rapt!! Everyone did their bit..... even spud Brown!!

3. Davis: outstanding game, 30+ possessions, barely one of them wasted, 3 goals, huge role in the 1st quarter when we were getting spanked but Leom and JA kept us in it. Oh, and mark of the day just to ice the cake.
2. Pendles: best player on the ground in close and crowded play, gave us a heap of drive with quick hands and accurate feet.
1. Maxwell. Stood tall all day. A couple of clangers, but 20-something good possies to more tan make up for them. Great captain's game.
Special mentions: Swan: close to being in the votes, and on half a leg. Wood: his best game in black and white. Reall effort there, and results for it. Presti: had a job to do, did it. N Brown: improving now after some poor form, playing better week by week, and showing more maturity and judgenent. Harry: played like Harry.

8. Pendlebury
7. Maxwell
7. Lockyer
6. Swan
This is a much fairer voting system to flog a dead horse yet again.
What's the point of 3.2.1 when everyone wants to list at least 5 players and regularly do?

I think we've had a couple of polls on it, and the response has generally been in favour of a 3-2-1 system. I prefer the current system personally because it's quick, easy, and doesn't discourage people from voting, whereas the one put forward above seems potentially confusing and potentially unwieldy. Of course, I just count the votes, and it's not up to me to decide - perhaps we could have another thread on this (although it may be too late to change it this year)?Neil Appleby wrote:9. Davis

Yeah, probably too late David I agree.
If we've had polls on this before perhaps people have changed their minds? Having a loook at the voting this week, it appears most people would like to acknowledge more than 3 players.......at least after a win.
Perhaps our default should be the same as the Copeland Trophy system......is it 3.2.1?

I'd like a system where 5 players can be awarded anything between 10 and 6 as in The Age. The idea of a player being awarded a perfect 10 for a great game is a nice idea I think.
