I for one am very happy this bloke could be a champion on a wing or half forward flank. Lynch is a potential match winner but once again the catch is constant injuries, but with two other injurie prone players gone (Olarenshaw & Rocca) worth the risk.
Sorry Mags but I'm with DeanRicho on this one.Lynch is an outstanding talent who if it wasn't for his bad luck with injuries would be a champion and his ability to turn a game is exceptional.worth a punt as we've already cleared out all the dead wood and if he stays fit could turn out to be handy good contributor to the team.
Must agree that Lynch is an absolute talent. But has done the same to his hamstring that Olarenshaw and Silvagni both did...ie ripped the tendon clear off the bone that stretches the Hammy. Surgeons re-set it but its never the same...Just like SOS and Olarenshaw I think his career is over...Not worth the effort..
If fit i'd snap him in a heartbeat..but its curtains for him...
If he was worth it, then why would Geelong delist him? He has talent, but his injuries were the reason why they let him go. I know (or wish) Malthouse wont pick him.
And this whole thing reminds me of Lee Walker. He had talent but too many injuries...
Almost everyone here seems to make a very strong case against acquiring the services of Paul Lynch. I suppose I support them there. If he was really a great talent why is he being let go? However, I would say that Collignwood will pick him. They have had a crack at several established players already only to see them sign up with their club (ie Travis Johnstone) I think that unless another player becomes unsettled in the next few months, you can expect Lynch to be on our list for the start of 2001.
Who is Paul LYNCH. Never heard of him. Anyway he is 27 has played only 62 senior games in seven years. Surely that says something. Olerenshaw COULD have been great and Walker COULD have been great but they weren't. Please learn from past mistakes Collingwood. Stick with kids or certanties. There is plenty of talent on offer out there so steer clear of injury prone rejects from other clubs who COULD be great.
Magsy boy what the hell r u on about now? Anyway i am sick of hearing u get picked on therefore i think your povo little skewl will B getting a visit from Spidey very soon!
Travis J rocks he is comin back to Dees training in about 2 months after he has some sort of groin type operation which will see him miss some of the pre-season ! Lucky hes at one of my teams but--->still Travey at Pieland would be mad!
