It scares me when I hear people saying we have nothing to lose by picking him up. You're kidding aren't ya. We have everything to lose and we seem to be doing a good job of it ove the years. Stick with kids or players that are fit. We've done all before, forget LYNCH. Surely there is a disgruntled Essendon player who can't crack it into the seniors. I think I would rather Watson then some injury prone reject. Sorry mate, full sympathy for you but this is my money being pumped into the club and I want to make sure it is being spent WISELY.

Mags,
There's a few old sayings you may want to take to heart:
"Violence begets violence"
"Nothing comes from violence and nothing ever could"
I understand your frustration completely - I had a couple of miserable years early in high school myself. The one thing that stopped it all was appearing to be unaffected by it all and having a well-known commitment to non-violent response (I was reading a lot about Gandhi & MLK at the time - they got more done in 15 years of non-violent response than their countrymates had done in over 100 years of violent responses).
It also helped to have been doing Tae Kwon Doe at the time - for defence ONLY (ie: stopping punches from landing on you) and spiritual calm.
Whatever route you chose, just be warned that violent confronation has always caused more problems than it solves (and this was my belief LOOOOOOONG before I became a teacher).
