I take my hat off to you. Anyone who can remember crap like that has too much time on their hands. You're displaying the symptoms I was talking about. Now you're getting excited about what commentators say.

remember that bump Rocca did - that's great - let's base our team around one bump - on the same day he also refused to lead and pick up his man - I'd prefer he worked on those fundamental facets of his game - he has improved but still has a long way to go

kevin sheedy is an old fox - he must have been watching the magoos to make such a call about wasley because the bloke can't kick and did stuff all in the seniors not a great future according to dermie if we are to base it around wasley - I think he was referring to the young blokes in general we all agree wasley is fast but so was david robertson - didn't mean he could play footy tuckey can kick it a country mile - just not straight nor often enough for a forward and oborne will play 70 odd games just like his old man - gee that's special cornes must have been up early watching the magoos to see frankie raso - he's a featherweight and will be licky to survive presti needed to come on in every facet of the game and you would hope that the players we recruit could use their instincts a little earlier than their 3rd season!

the comments about tarrant and tarks are honest assessments and can be supported by their performances over a season as usual you are too blinded by your love of wasley to make a logical assessment on the rest

sheedy's an old fox - precisely why his team is in the PF this week. and he made that assesment after wasley tore the bombers apart in the last quarter of our game against them in one of the last rounds last year..remember the one when sav and anthony missed like 10 shots at goal? wasley was dominating and everyone around me kept tapping me on the shoulder and asking 'who's that no.16' and i was proud to say it was wazza. cornes made his assesment of raso in the last quarter during our game against adelaide this year, when he made one the most deft pickup and blind turns i've ever seen. and it's pretty rough to not be happy with presti's improvement this year - one of the most satisfying aspects of the year for me, even if everyone is so bloody cynical about him. and i don't have a lot of spare time on my hands, just a good memory.

well mick if you're saying presti came good this year its actually his fourth season I think - didn't we draft him in the 1995 november draft?

On top of that I think oborne has shown signs that he will make a top quality forward pocket capable of kicking 30-40 goals a season in a few years time. He should barring major injury play more than 70 games for the club.

you must be desperate - to justify wasley as a good player on the basis of a quarter of footy over a year ago likewise to state that Raso is a good player because of one blind turn - you gotta lift your standards - have a look at the potentials side in the last issue of Hot Pies - its sums up your view of things great names like Heath Shepherd, Athos Hrysoukalakis, Paul Rizonico etc all excited us with a great mark, goal or baulk at some stage but like your mate Wazza that will mean **** all if they can't do it week in week out and if you have to go back more than 3 weeks of footy let alone a year then the player ain't up to it.

I'll wait for wazza to kick on next year - then I'll pursue the f-word rather than peruse it. Sorry for offending your sensibilities - it was the Vic Park in me.

Smith had every chance to show his stuff in the magoos. He played in the bottom side, with a injured old timer first ruck and a second string backup and he still couldn't break into the side. That's right, break into the side. A senior game at Collingwood should not be some novelty prize for hanging round a club for a year or so. It should be a hard earned honour. Our mentality seems to have shifted such that players now deserve a run in the seniors to see if they can play. What happened to the old way - if he wanted a game in the magoos how about stringing a few B.O.G's together. Simple truth is if he can't excel in the twos he's never going to do it in the seniors.
