I'm keen to. I'll be overseas for the second half of the season though, so I may become an easybeat if it's difficult to keep up with how players are going though. I've been keeping an eye on the site but it still hasn't started up again this season. I'm happy to start a league unless someone else wants to do it. There isn't much to do once the league started so it's not a lot of work.

takes about an hour or so depending on whether everyone is online and how long the selection time is configured for.5150 wrote:I have never been in one of these drafts before?
How long do they take?
I will check the site for "how to play" instructions as I only do DT & SC.
Any other tips you can share?
players cannot be selected by multiple teams.

OK, for those who dont know how it works.
the scoring is exactly like dreamteam. if you beat your opponents total points u get 4 points and its run pretty much like an AFL ladder.
What everyone "should" do is like the player they would like to draft using the "pre season draft ranking feature". simply go to the "pre season draft" tab, click on "edit pre_draft ranking" then rank and move the player in order of who you wish to draft. ideally you should list the top 50 odd players you wish to be in ur team.
When you "log on" on the 15th at 7pm aest, you will see two columns in the draft section/tab. one is your ranking and the other is the draft order. Each manager is then given 2minutes to choose, If you have players listed in your pre draft ranking it will make the draft go alot quicker.
Please note i will be taking the same approach as Babylove did last year.
Make sure you are free that evening.
IF you are not able to be on make sure you have a very long pre draft ranking list or alternatively get someone else to draft for you.
If you dont do this you risk drafting a player like lovett, which pretty much puts you right behind the 8 ball [ie a danny roach pickup].
My tip centers are a dime a dozen focus on the backs and forwards. Most of them score pretty low, so getting good ones mean your midfield can be supplemented easily, after all mids are more likely to score higher points, even the crap ones.
we currently have 6 players, we need another 6.
