i think he should go - but the announcements today are not a sacking and leave many doors open for fev to play at carlton next year. i guess we all just watch this space for the next fortnight[/quote]
Yes it does mean he is gone, the club cannot go back on this now or they will look like a complete joke. If they had any intention of him remaining at the club they would not be making public statements saying he WILL be traded. If there was any hope of him staying Fevola would not be thanking the club for the time he has had there and saying he is looking forward to premiership success at a new club.

Don't be silly....Pete 70 wrote:That we would think about giving up Dawes, Reid or Brown for this tool is incredible. It is going to be a f...ing wasteland for the next 3 years in draft land with the oompalumpas and gws. So lets give away a 21 year old who we have developed and is really showing something for a role the dice shot at next year when I rather like Reid at CHB, Dawes, JA and Cloke forward line as a shot at the flag anyway. Its like the crazy argument that Marty Clarke was a waste - it was a bloody smart idea - lets get around the socialism that is the salary cap (coupled with rules that keep changing) by finding the best talent outside of those rules. We did that. We won first prize - if your not sure look at the 07 preliminary final - what we couldn't solve for was that players are human and sometimes want something other than football. (We are doing the same thing with the nsw players - it is a punt but a damn site better one than bloody pubs).
The list we are building is getting better each year since the Buckley/Clement/Burns departures. We have forwards who can win us a flag what we need to win one is a strong midfield (faark the cats have won 2 flags with 2 decent forwards) and I quite like next year having Pendlebury, Steele, Beams with one of the untried kiddies (Rounds, Blight) possibly doing what Beams did this year, recruit Ball with draft pick 2 and steak knives and move on. If we can get captain sex toy for a 3rd round then okay but I would rather trust Sir Judkins and the list we've got than gamble the next 4 years for a 28 year old moron. We thought the ute story was fun - that will seem like a charity picnic next year if Bwendon plays for us.

Oops. Sorry. I was thinking he was already at the Pies.Pied Piper wrote:I think you mean Coleman medal.mandy wrote:Be nice to have a proven, norm smith winning goal kicker keeping the spot warm for Dawes until then.spoljar wrote:All he will do is stifle the development of Chris Dawes, the player we need to stand up from 2012 onwards.
I don't WANT to have to wait 3+ more years for a shot. I WANT it IN the next 3 years.
Nothing wrong with that.

I think you forgot to add the Not at the beginning of that postAN_Inkling wrote:Getting Fevola = no premiership at Collingwood for at least 5 years. I'm hoping for one earlier than that.
Only chance of a flag in the next 5 years is getting Fev, although getting Fev might upset the Buckley supporters, Fev might get Mick a flag before he retires whilst poor Bucks wont get much use out of him

I don't want the dickhead at our club.
He will probably attract trouble and face fines and suspensions. Na not going down that road.
He will be soooooo under the spotlight at THE biggest club in the land, that he will just implode with the pressure. His behaviours will be magnified ten fold, so can you imagine the headlines.
Carlton will ask for lots.....Feck that for a joke.....like do you want to give up potential 10 year stars for a player who may be gone in a couple?
His leadership will be crap, his on field body language is crap, he doesn't chase ,we have KPP coming on soon AND we have an impressionable lot of young men, so I don't want him at Collingwood and neither would MM if his past criterias are anything to go by.
Na Na Na

Come on people are you serious?
This drongo is a serial offender. He's a drunk, a lout, a fool and an embarrassment.
We don't want any player of his ilk. He would be terrible for our young list, our club morale, not to mention sponsorship.
I won't be a member if Collingwood goes down the Fev path, but I have absolute faith in Maxy, Pertie, Eddie and MM; they wouldn't think about it.
NO, NO, NO, NO.

After the epic draw comes the decisive knockout!
Collingwood rules the world again and Mick Malthouse fulfils his destiny with the twenty ten premiership and can you hear the people sing!

Quick fix, short term flights of fancy rarely end well. Fevola's not the answer. Like Geelong we are better served with being patient and backing our list, only making minor tweaks on the way if necessary. Signing Fevola would be a massive mistake.
With Sydney already ruling him out, looks to me like there won't be the clamour for his signature that he'd expect. Could be a bit like Cousins. They should have traded him a couple of years ago.
