God I hope the Pies don't try and snare this dickhead during trade week.
Costs to much, to many off-field problems that will continue to occur because he believes he's bigger than any club he's in, to big a risk of adversely affecting our young list, will take a spot that can be (and should be) filled by one of our up-and-coming forwards, and the bloke is a tool of the highest magnitude.
He's nothing but a plague infested rodent and should be avoided at all costs.

When we win a flag with him in our side, just say to yourself. "Yeay we won but I still think hes a dickhead" and the pain will go away.OEP wrote:God I hope the Pies don't try and snare this dickhead during trade week.

To be honest, I reckon that line was a bit of a cover for a number of different issues. And as for integrity, we are talking about a corporate organisation here - although it does annoy me that this whole Fevola issue is even being talked about in the same breath as morals or integrity. He's not a criminal. I don't see how a good football player and someone with a fairly low IQ who can't handle their alcohol in the off-season belong to mutually exclusive groups.
Believe me it was Judd stating Fev goes or I walk out.

Everybody on here is dealing with Fev's personality.
"He gets drunk in public places...he doesn't shave all the time...he looks scruffy...he's too much of a risk..."
Grow some balls. This is football and footballers are not friggin angels.
Sometimes they are shits but you have to compromise.
He kicks bags of goals. BAGS of them. We get him, he stuffs up, fire him. Simple.
To be honest though I just don't like his hair style, it's just too crazy and I don't think it supports our chances for a premiership.
P.S I don't think Footballers should tackle each other anymore either, it's just not nice.

I think Eddie's phone will have been running hot since yesterday afternoon.
Lots of questions that need to be answered :
1. Will getting BF upset any major sponsors ?
2. Do MM and Bux see the need to add BF ?
3. Does the club see any reason to think that they can control BF better than Carlton did ?
4. Will getting BF affect any of the key players on the list ?
There is no doubt he will be traded and the Blues will have to pay part of his current contract entitlements.
BF also has to agree to the trade - when Scoots was traded to the Blues the Dockers offered more but he did not want to go interstate - so the players has to agree to the club he will be going to.
Tough questions to be answered but it would give the Pies a missing piece of the jigsaw puzzle.

More about Fev coming to the Pies
Had a intersting conversation yesterday afternoon with a guy who works with Fev's management company and he said the the Scum are so keen to get Fev out they will pay upto $300,000 a season to see the back of him. This means his new club will only be looking to pay the remainder.
The scum want a 1st round pick and maybe a 2nd or 3rd year player as well to compensate the cash component.
He said Fev's 1st choice was to stay in Melbourne and go to a club that has a real chance of winning a flag in the next 2 - 4yrs.
I asked was the Pies a chance and he said they were the most likely option as the Saints have 2 tall forwards and limited cap room and other clubs were totally either not interested or going with young players with no baggage only.
Some one ring Eddie and tell him get Fev put him on notice immediately and get him a minder to throttle him every time he tries to leave his house other than for training or games.
I say he is worth the punt maybe he might have finally woken up.

We will have to merge the Fev threads me thinks.
The Club has come out and said they don't want him. Playing hard ball to get him for stuff all? Fev's management allegedly has said Saints and Pies are his preference. The Blues are prepared to cover part of his salary to off load him. He has allegedly punch a player on Brownlow night as well which was the final straw.
This morning the Saints have said no as has the Swans.

There are a number of more important factors to consider.
1 - How much do you give up for a 29 year old who will use a large chunk of your cap? I'm sure we already have someone in mind for that first round pick. What young player do we gift wrap to the scum as well? Price will be too high.
2 - How would our current crop of players feel about having a tool like Fevola signed by the club? Will it upset the apple cart?
3 - Will it stunt the development of young Jack?
The kid has kicked 50 goals in his first full AFL season.
A damn good effort in my book.
Personally I'd rather we went after Luke Ball & Jamie Charman.
Is Full Forward our biggest problem right now? Not even close.
Ruck & an inside mid would be nice.
Don't do it Ed

I love Fev, who cares about if he is a tool or not. If he can kick 70-90 goals for us then that makes us a top 2 team next year.
We keep talking about getting big name players, they don't come much bigger than Fev, get him in Black & White next year.
Get it done Eddie!
