I AGREE!jack_spain wrote:You know what really riles me about this speculation?
Last year some Collingwood supporters (including myself) were resigned to getting rid of Heater and Dids because of their off-field stuff-ups.
Now some people want the biggest off-field stuffer-upper around.
Sure he might kick some goals, but at what price? Affecting the culture of our playing group and further delaying the important development of our youngsters.
I for one would not be keen to trade Dawes away (with ten years of good football in him) for a Fev who might have two years at best.

That would be a great deal for usDaz wrote:whisper is carlton now want to keep pick 11, which has upset melbourne seeing they had their heart set on another first round pick for mclean.
apparently melbourne now has turned to collingwood for pick 14 in return to forward mclean onto carlton and fev to the pies.
carlton also seeking a sweetener (picks) off us for the deal to happen.

The real question is do you want to see a Collingwood flag in the next 5 years, Fev will lead us to a flag if he comes, this current list wont win one without him, it is the main thing missing a proper full forwardPresti#1Fan wrote:The real question is... can Fev help us win the flag?
The answer to this is the same as weather to take him or not.

let me get this straight, the Scum are now reneging on their in principle agreement to trade pick 11 for mcLean.Daz wrote:whisper is carlton now want to keep pick 11, which has upset melbourne seeing they had their heart set on another first round pick for mclean.

Well stuff them. Pick 14 or we walk. Pick 14 is already too hig for a 29 year old nut case who may just as easily go off the rails in his first year with the club.
If melbourne wants us involved to help them with the lying/cheatin Scum , then they better sweeten the deal for us.

Er, isn't the topic "If you want Fevola what are you prepared to give up?"?

Apart from Dawes and pick 14.Monco Matt wrote:Fev's a forward so let's give up a forward and our pick 14. Prefer it to be Dawes or Reid. JA & Fev in our forward line, two of the most accurate goal kickers in the biz sound good to me. If Fev doesn't work out and he starts playing up then send him to the VFL........simple, no skin lost!
That's 18 Fevola threads on the front page now BTW ... make it stop

He is worth 2 first round picks or the equivelant grade players.
The cheapest will be 1st + 2nd round or the equivelant grade players.
Pick 14 and Pick 30....or
Pick 14 & Wellers or Goldsack.
I was really keen on Fev yesterday. Starting to cool off him a bit now. Not sure, but we'll wait and see.
One thing is for sure. MM and crew will be damned if they do and damned if they don't. hmmm.
