So if the midfield's getting smashed as in the prelim how's Fevola going to fix that? You know where he'll be in that situation? Out to lunch like he always is when application is needed. But I wouldn't expect you to come out with anything else but that simplistic analysis. As usual with all your posts its all about you isn't it?

^ Since when has it been all about me ronald, are you saying that the vast majority of all the other posters on here who want Fev are also"" all about them too." What a ludicrous statement do you actually think about what you are stating.?? MY VIEWS are ffirst and foremost to see the Pies a very successful side, and it has damn well nothing to do with me, end of story.. I see both you and Jack are holding hands on this one, fair enough, but it now sends your simplistic view that i am jacks parrot down in a ball of flame doesnt it. ?

No, sometimes the parrot is attracted to a shiny thing and jumps off his master's shoulder to try to get it.... :P

So if Collingwood does win the flag you won't feel good about it? Tell me another one....

We don't want him.....and I'm gonna keep saying it.
If we make a very poor decision and do go for him, then we offer 2nd/3rd picks and give back Bryan......that should do it :D :D
If the Blues baulk at this then we go for broke and offer up Corrie, Cox, Cook & Stanley.

Seriously folks, can we really see MM & Bucks wanting Fev the Idiot at our Club?
What message would it send to the kids we have drafted?
What would this mean to MM's model citizen approach?
Sponsorship?
Plus the drop in membership as old farts like me vote with our dollars.

Too risky when you weigh it all up. Carlton has had Fev in the square for 10 years and their win-loss ratio is 33%.

He's not the answer to our prayers by any stretch and may well be a destructive monster.

No thanks.
After the epic draw comes the decisive knockout!
Collingwood rules the world again and Mick Malthouse fulfils his destiny with the twenty ten premiership and can you hear the people sing!

^ LOL ha, i would be as happy as Larry, and as MANY others on here are saying, Fev could help get us one. Six goals in a Prelim was deploreable, even for you surely.???

It was a result consistent with the situation of a team where the supply to the forward line had been strangled due to the midfield being smashed. Fevola couldn't stop that happening and if he was present in a situation like that he'd be in a sulk and not contributing, which is a behaviour he's shown whenever Carlton had been smashed.

Maybe at half the cost

http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/c ... 5781816577
THE Brisbane Lions has emerged as a frontrunner for Brendan Fevola as Carlton shopped the Coleman medalist around at a discount price.

The Lions are in a strong position to combine the AFL's two most prolific goalscorers, Fevola and Jonathan Brown, in the same forward line next season.

It is believed Fevola is contracted to earn $600,000 next year and more than $900,000 in 2011 under a back-ended deal.

But for the right deal, the Blues might be prepared to pay as much as half of that, meaning rivals such as Brisbane could land Fevola for $750,000 over the next two seasons.

COLLINGWOOD yesterday did not rule out recruiting Carlton bad boy Brendan Fevola, but the Blues are determined not to give the full-forward away for nothing.

The Magpies discovered that when the clubs held preliminary talks about the likelihood of Fevola lining up for Collingwood in its attempt to win a premiership in the final two years of coach Mick Malthouse's tenure.

Salary cap is no big deal, once he's 30 it would only count as half anyway wouldn't it?

You need to have been at a club for 10 years to qualify for the veterans list.

That would only apply @ Carlscum? Where he has played all his footy.
Any other team would have to fork out the whole lot unless Carlscum agree to pay a portion of it.

Last year some Collingwood supporters (including myself) were resigned to getting rid of Heater and Dids because of their off-field stuff-ups.

Now some people want the biggest off-field stuffer-upper around.

Sure he might kick some goals, but at what price? Affecting the culture of our playing group and further delaying the important development of our youngsters.

I for one would not be keen to trade Dawes away (with ten years of good football in him) for a Fev who might have two years at best.
I AGREE!
Who would have thought Fev would bring us together? :!:
lol. that sickens me as much as the thought of this gnat coming to collingwood. :P

I was just over having a read at talkingcarlton.com

Some more realistic Blues supporters seem to think Nathan Brown and pick 14 would be alright.

Most of them think none of our players are good enough to play for Carlton.

On principal, most of them will be devastated if Fevola ends up in black and white.

I'd personally be happy to trade Nathan Brown and pick 14. Or Ben Reid and pick 14. We'd be getting an amazing deal either way.
