I would give them pick 14 for Fev and Hampson.

If Fev only - 2nd rounder.

Cant believe people arent willing to give up pick 14 and a player for him.
This is one of the WORST drafts in recent history. We have enough young talent coming through to miss a pick for one of the best players running around.
Fev can easily go through the season without alcohol, he did it the other year and kicked 99. He isnt a alcoholic, he is a binge drinker. Massive difference. Make a contract that doesnt allow him to drink during the season and cant do media and its fine.
Do we want to wait 4-5 years to have a crack at the flag developing players or do we want to have a crack next year or the year after? I know which one i want.

Absolutely, no fear of Collingwood at all. A friend said to me last week who is a Saints Fan 'I wish we were playing Collingwood in the GF instead of Geelong' Says it all really doesn't it..........

On SEN today sean denim said Brisbane will not get fevola, and the odds against it are huge. The door seems very open for us now, if we take the chance. Fev can be reformed by someone like MM and Bucks, look at Didak and Shaw, they both turned it around. And Didak was associating with a murderous bikie, he reformed and turned it all around. It can be done, the ball is truly in our court now.

Then they have Hampson who is one of the quickest players on their list and is over 200cm tall.

Then they spent a fair bit to get Warnock who was meant to be the next Dean Cox.

Fraser would make them laugh.

apparently melbourne now has turned to collingwood for pick 14 in return to forward mclean onto carlton and fev to the pies.
carlton also seeking a sweetener (picks) off us for the deal to happen.
let me get this straight, the Scum are now reneging on their in principle agreement to trade pick 11 for mcLean.
Well stuff them. Pick 14 or we walk. Pick 14 is already too hig for a 29 year old nut case who may just as easily go off the rails in his first year with the club.

If melbourne wants us involved to help them with the lying/cheatin Scum , then they better sweeten the deal for us.
Fevola for pick 14 is sweet enough for me.
Won't get the deal done...but perhaps if we were willing to contribute a big chunk of his contract then Carlton would have to consider it becaue it frees up their salary cap so much and they can chase O'Keefe or Tarrant.

When it comes down to it he has 2-3 years left and huge off field issues that will destroy this club.

Imagine his stupidity if we actually won a flag.. then again who would care?

Tannin wrote:Frankly, I'd rather have Pick 14. Yes, I know he is an awesomely talented player on his day, but he is no spring chicken and would probably cause more trouble than he's worth. Looking at the proven ability Hine has to pick up genuine quality young players, Pick 14 is a good thing to have in our pockets, ready to spend. Look at the two young champions Hine picked up last year with his first two picks: Sidebottom and Beams. And both of them are good for another 10 years with the club.
Tannin.I hear ya,BUT.The Lions are now throwing their hat in the ring and thinking about J.Brown.Bradshaw and Fevola running around in one forward line, makes me shudder more than having Fevola at Collingwood.Thats THE all Aus forward line and would almost gift the lions a couple more flags and we'd still be developing our kids and lamenting the fact we didn't get him.
He's a class player,he has stuffed up big time and I am sure he knows he MUST improve his behaviour and I am sure there are ppl at Collingwood who can help him.We NEED a goalkicker,we haven't had one since Peter McKenna!!!Showing my age  and I am sick of seeing everyone who is anyone in our forward line missing sitters week in week out and costing us games. What ever the cost,GET him and Buorgoyne as well.

I couldn't care less WHO we got if we won a flag mate....!! NOTHING else matters now.

The main problem with Collingwood is that after all is said and done, there is FAR more said than done... :x

Time for the club to DO something!! Take a bloody risk if you have to. Life is FULL of taking risks for normal people not rapt in cotton wool inside a cocoon.......

Otherwise it will be MORE than the 32 years we waited to win our last flag........
