The biggest issue I have with Fev, is that he is obviously not very intelligent. This severly lessens the likelihood that he's going to wake up to himself & change his behaviour, both on & off field. Other players, mentioned, Ponting, Didak, Stevie J, all seem to have been able to change. I seriously doubt that Fev can.
Swan is down, Swan kicks the goal! And everything here will be a Magpie celebration!

I dont think Fev respects Ratten and now apparently Judd.Deja Vu wrote:Nulla, is it enough to make you not want to trade for him (assuming you would be happy to otherwise)?
Can Malthouse and Eddie make him into something like the return to grace of Shaw and Didak? If so it would make for a great success story both for Fev and Collingwood.
I have met and been with Fev a number of times over the years as he is friends with my son inlaw.. sober he is a great person... a few beers and he is an outright clown... thing is he knows it.
For what I know he did on Brownlow night... it has mad some of his friends enemies, so I would hope there would be a clause in his contract.
An alcohol free Fev would be great.
I cannot for the life of me see him staying at Carlton. Judd will walk otherwise
I have a lazy eye and I think it is now spreading throughout the rest of my body

When does Patrick Smith's contract run out? I think he's after a job. The article was big on panegyric and low on substance. I think he's been spending to much time with his little bald mate KB...

I'll just mention one name here to blow your argument out of the water:Daicos Mullets wrote:The biggest issue I have with Fev, is that he is obviously not very intelligent. After the epic draw comes the decisive knockout!
Collingwood rules the world again and Mick Malthouse fulfils his destiny with the twenty ten premiership and can you hear the people sing!

I'd love to know why people think that Didak is "intellectual" and Fevola is not.watt price tully wrote: Ponting at least has half a brain. Fevola however is a different case in point. To quote WC Feilds: they're intellectual opposites - Ponting/Didak (insert your're own name) are intellectual & Fevola's opposite. (Could've been Mae West). Mind you neither Mae West nor WC Fields could play full-forward.
Didak's misdemeanours over the last couple of years were a lot more than just getting pissed, and they were situations that could easily have been avoided or handled much better... lets not be one-eyed about this.
I do think Fevola needs to reap the consequences of what he's done again and again, and I think that Carlton's decision to get rid of him is the right one for their club... but I dont think that should stop another club going after him if the price is right.

T'was merely a throw away line. Not to be taken seriously. Havin' a laugh (at Fevola's expense).didaksrightfoot wrote:I'd love to know why people think that Didak is "intellectual" and Fevola is not.watt price tully wrote: Ponting at least has half a brain. Nulla,
Based on what you know then, would you want him at the Pies and if so, given the obvious risks involved, how much should we give for him?
To me it sounds more and more like anything above a second round draft pick may come back to bite us on the you know where.

Seeing as we seem to be reporting on every comment made about Fevola's possible movements. Here's the gist of what Gerard Whately said on ABC radio:
- Fevola definitely to be gone from Carlton. Blues want him out, no matter what they get in return or how much of his contract they must continue to pay.
- Jolly looks to be going to Collingwood.
- Collingwood out of the running fror Fevola now that they seem to be getting Jolly.

Yeah just heard the same thing on ABC radio.AN_Inkling wrote:Seeing as we seem to be reporting on every comment made about Fevola's possible movements. Here's the gist of what Gerard Whately said on ABC radio:
