Maxy has said that there's no room for Fev in our forward line because we've got guys like JA, Cloke and Dawes.

The scummers on BF are having a field day thinking that we will 100% not get Fev and that he is 100% staying a scumbag.

What are your thoughts?
I'd think Maxy is merely not getting involved saying "yeah we're going after Fev we 100% want him" and instead is, as the captain of our club throwing his support behind our young guys. Imagine if we didn't get Fev and Maxy was on record saying "yes we 100% need him we have no KP Forwards coming through". The players (Dawes in particular) would be pretty angry at Maxy over that wouldn't you say.

Anyway, it's interesting.

I think it's unlikely he'd stick his neck out in such a fashion unless he was pretty damn sure of his ground, don't you?

Didn't see any of the usual "but it's the club's decision and if Fev comes to the club we'll welcome him with open arms" qualifiers.

Nick's a skilled media operator. He wouldn't have made such statements naively.

Great call by the club if it steers clear of Fev. Only they really know the viability of Fev and they (the board and coaching panel) would not overlook him if they felt that the club would be in deficit without him. They are best placed to make these decision after weighing up all the contributing factors. Lets accept their final say!
