I wonder who is covering up for who?

Whether Scott was acting like a dickhead or not does not excuse the bloke that punched him. That bloke crossed the line by punching him in the back of the head. The punch also seems to have been pre-meditated by the look of the footage.

Also that stuff that this bloke's 'friends' have posted on various news sites is bordering on defamation if it can't be proven. These 'friends' are more than likely just Collingwood hating trolls, and probably don't even know the bloke.
Great post.

I am surprised people have not raised the issue that Scott has a girlfriend and it is somewhat out of character for the boy to behave in the manner he has been accused of.

As I said before, they are heading for whole heap of trouble if their keep this up.

I just hope Pendles was not an obnoxious drunk.

Had there not been a video I might have pondered their claims a bit more.
As even normally good guys , can be poorly influenced by alcohol and being in the company of a group, at times.

But the video shows Scott disassociating himself with any outside drama happening , walking away quietly and getting king hit out of nowhere. He was not involved in any heated argument or dispute to cause retaliation. There was no instant outrage or objection. Just someone who runs up and hits him when he's not looking and nearly kills him.

He never said that Joff, he just hopes pendles wasn't doing the things that have been rumoured. As we all do.

FWIW i don't believe them for a second, I've seen pendles drunk and he was very fun and happy go lucky. Wasn't bignoting at all.

Well lets just say for one moment that the rumours were correct, I dont know anything about the rumours and dont really want to, Does that in anyway justify some thug who was such a coward that he had to hit him from behind ?

The guy hasn't a leg to stand on, the video says it all, really. Absolutely no justification whatsoever for that sort of cowardly crap, drunk or no drunk. Gawn!

No, but it does paint pendles in a different light, one which puts him along side fevola, and that is why we hope the rumours are exactly that. *completely seperate things.

Well, I for one couldn't care less if Pendles acts like a tool when he's drunk (and we have no real evidence of that anyway, just the word of this bar hero's mates). He seems professional enough to keep the drinking to the off-season, so it's not going to affect his football. Otherwise, it's his life and nothing to do with us as Collingwood supporters.

Why are people so unkind :?

Pendles is ok. The courts will sort it out. Lets all get back on track and focus on the positives of which will make 2010 a very special year for all pies.

Lets shove it up them - in the biggest way possible:)

No-one's justifying anything Joff. This sort of thuggery can never be justified. I'm merely pointing to the common denominator of grog in this incident.
