From as far back as the recruiting of wee georgie bissett,to the failed signing of brereton and hardie who gave little, the pies have had a long list of signing so called superstars that have been super duds for us.
There are exceptions, nathan buckley, mark williams, phil carman, brian taylor gave good service.
but collingwood in the past would chase blokes like sam kekavich etc as high profile players that were more worried about appearance than performance.
I reckon this year we have ditched that syndrome, and hopefully it is gone forever.
lets hope so,collingwood is not a dumping ground for past it champs anymore.
feel free to add to the list of good and bad high profile recruits.
usually it is the kids like obree that are the better recruits, rather than one with an enlarged ego.and minimised ability.
history of recruiting duds.

Sam Keckovic! What year did he play for us? I must have been living in Sydney at the time '79 to '81. Oh my aching back (from carrying the weight of all the duds we have recruited in the last 20 years.)
Barry Mitchell must have been the biggest dud, though how much did we pay for Brad Hardie (and did he play a game).
