Im having a few arguments re best side ive seen.Magpieside i mean.
Its my opinion that the 1970 side bob rose coached into 2 nd place was the best man for man side this club has produced in my life time.
It was simply outcoached in the second half.sad but true!!
can anyone provide me with the team list that day?
Ive searched the internet high and low but the search engines have blinkers on these days,and misdirect most times.
Len Thompson,The 2 richardsons.pete mckenna,terry waters,john greening etc.
anyway if you know where I can find the team of the day,im waiting.

Ed, there are plenty of football books you could find them in, with names like "Brewery X's" VFL/AFL Finals book etc. You'd probably find them in a 2nd hand book store, or a country pub!
The Kill for Collingwood book would probably have em too.
as for net searching, if you've hit a dead end, try

I recall we had some great players then too, Barry Price and Tuddy to add a couple to your list. I think guys like Potter, Clifton and Eakins would've played that day too., not forgetting Syd Jacksons best mate, Lee Adamson.
