Seth,
The match against Western Bulldogs ... late last season. Mal Michael turned the game and damn near won it off his own boot.
Mal was a wonderful player but was plagued with injuries. He started last season in brilliant form. He was playing an absolute blinder against Carlton in Round 3 until suffering a serious injury which kept him out for a long time. When he came back into the side it took him a few weeks to find his touch. He also had some back problems a couple of years back.
I've got no idea what his alleged off-field indiscretions were, but I suspect his departure had nothing to do with any lack of on-field ability. He was definitely one of our best half-dozen players over the last four seasons.

good boy Alf
and Seth if Mal was so greedy then why is spoilt little brat Tarrant still here then?
and as for Shawry jeez i wouldnt be talking about such a Collingwood legend like that the Shaw family is very well respected down at Vic Park. Obviously Tony Shaw's coaching record was poor but what Mick Malthouse has done during his career was certainly not with our club that is history and he has so far only moved us up the ladder one position better than Shawry.

I heard through the grapevine Mal was always goin back, apparently homesick.
Speaking to a couple of the old timers at training(you know the people that sit in the stand every training session)they were glad to see the back of him. They say he was very lazy on the track.
Spidergirl spose you can be a spoilt little brat when you have got talent Chris Tarrant.

Er, Magpie24, re-read your last statement (Jan 27, 12:32).
By that logic, you should be supporting McKee, because MM has made "the right move" by keeping him.
Think about it.
And wait till we see him play again before continuing to bag him.

jo_12 well i recall the so called 'stunning steve' 'playing' (if you could call it that) in the backline against carlton when collingwood got their arses whipped and he was WATCHING carlton take the marks, he actually stood still while his opponent took the mark, hey the whole team played shit but they at least tried, and seeing as we seem to have retained him i am hoping that he will 'recover' and maybe try and play however he did when collingwood decided on that fateful trade....
Joel what your saying is correct but he wasnt recruited from PNG
