Can you please compare that to outside 50s tackling and brilliant blindingly use of the ball is the hallmark of the new Collingwood?

All i really want on Friday is for us to be really very, very competitive, we must at least have a RED HOT go, we cannot and must not be pushed aside and crushed,as in last years Prelim. If we have a real go at these Pussies, stand toe to toe and go down within around three goals or less, we have at LEAST given them something serious to think about, and we know that we can match it with them for most of the game, all we need is a bit of fine tuning and luck and we CAN beat em next time. We did this in 90 when we lost a close one to the Dons, then on top, and we smashed them in the Finals. Geelong are at their peak, they cannot improve, whereas we can improve still a fair bit.
Having said that, I hope we destroy these pricks, its payback time you handbag toting pussies. !!!

The form of Travis Cloke.
Made comment about the unfair criticism of a young player when they have a bit of a dip in form. Also mentioned, that even in his "lean" times, he was playing quite well, just not kicking a lot of goals. Stan now rates Trav as one of the best CHFs in the comp.
What's the cut-off for "one of the best"? His good recent form is very encouraging, however, consider the following numbers. Now I know stats aren't the whole story, and yes, this list is a mix of CHF/FF types, but Trav's scoreboard impact doesn't exactly stand out. I am not having a shot at Trav. I just think some of the assessments of him are generous at this stage.
I think the frame of reference you've used is quite narrow. I would add:
tackles, tackles inside 50,goal assists & marks inside 50.

Once again network ten has done a great service to the millions of Pies supporters on the NSW nth coast. The game replay starts at 11.30pm, if you're lucky. One of the biggest games of the new millenium so far and we are once again shafted.

Yeah, I know, I can record it, and I will, but it's just not the same.

I suppose if that's all I have to whinge about then life is pretty good. :)

Barham replaces Macaffer in the middle, Macaffer replaces JA up front. That gives us two significant improvements in the pace and tackling departments.

Apologies! I just checked the local programme guide and it is 7, you are correct. But my comment still applies I reckon! :D

Incidentally, EyeTV for Mac is sensational. Records in HiDef, then it's a doddle to edit and remove the ads and presto, you have a nice game to replay time and again!

What is it about Dawes that you dislike so much? I figure it must be personal because nobody could be that clueless.
Probably the same reason as to why you dislike Leroy Brown dude.....
Brown is a proven spud that has performed the same way every year of his long career. Dawes is a young bloke who is starting to find his feet at AFL level, and has much upside. Whether he becomes a gun or not is yet to be seen but he has a chance of improving - leroy doesn't.

I can see your thinking, Tannin, but I just don't think the Caff can cut it as a forward in the elite level. I'd rather one of medders/Dick/Tarks in for JA up forward this week. But I like the idea of replacing the Caff with Barham for this particular match too.

^ I don't. Sorry, anyone but Barham!

In: Prestigiacomo, Medhurst
Out: Brown, Anthony

Wellingham to replace one of Macaffer or O'Bree after a quick run in the VFL, depending on performance of all three.
